Creamy, cheesy, and bursting with rich, nutty flavor, my Asiago Cheese Dip is the ultimate indulgence that will have everyone reaching for just one more bite!

Asiago Cheese Dip with Roasted Garlic
I recently made roasted garlic asiago chicken and potatoes for dinner.
The cheese topping on that main dish is just so good that we all found ourselves scraping it out from the casserole dish with our fingers.
I wanted to pick up the dish and literally lick it clean, but I decided to spare my family that sight. This time.
It was obvious to all of us though—
While the chicken and potato dish was fabulous, we owed it to ourselves, and all of humanity for that matter, to create an asiago cheese dip recipe that had all the same flavors.
A highly addictive cheese dip at that.
And let me tell y’all something. This was one of the best foodie decisions I’ve ever made. Please try it, you just have to. This recipe is life changing!
Why You’ll Love My Asiago Cheese Dip
- Creamy and Cheesy: This asiago cheese dip is the definition of comfort food. With cream cheese, tangy sour cream, and melty mozzarella, it’s rich, creamy, and oh-so-delicious.
- Bursting with Flavor: Garlic heads roasted to perfection bring a deep, savory flavor that pairs perfectly with the Asiago. A sprinkle of fresh parsley adds a pop of brightness that balances the creaminess.
- Quick and Easy to Make: With just a few steps, this dip recipe comes together fast. Simply mix the the ingredients, spread it in a dish, and bake until it’s bubbly and golden brown. It’s an easy dish you can whip up last minute for a dinner party.
- Perfect for Any Occasion: Whether it’s the holiday season or game day, this creamy dip fits the bill.
- A Great Way to Impress Guests: Serve it warm in a casserole dish with a rubber spatula for spreading, and watch as it disappears—it’s ahhh sooo good oh!
Ingredients for Asiago Cheese Dip
- Roasted Garlic: You’ll need two garlic heads, roasted to bring out their natural sweetness. If you’re not sure how to roast garlic, I’ve included instructions below.
- Cream Cheese: This dip calls for 8 ounces of cream cheese, softened to make mixing easy. It gives the dip its smooth, creamy texture.
- Asiago Cheese: This type of cheese is perfect for this dip. It’s got a rich and nutty flavor that makes it really go off!
- Sour Cream: It brings a tangy kick and balances out the richness and lightens up the texture a bit.
- Heavy Cream or Whole Milk: Use either heavy cream or whole milk to loosen the mixture just enough for easy spreading. If you’re out, half & half works too. My preference is ALWAYS heavy cream here!
- Chopped Parsley: A sprinkle of fresh parsley adds color and a hint of freshness.
- Mozzarella Cheese: You’ll finish it off with shredded mozzarella on top. It melts beautifully and gives it that golden, bubbly crust that you want in a cheesy dip.
How to Make Asiago Cheese Dip
- Preheat Your Oven: Set your oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine the Ingredients: In a bowl, mix together the roasted garlic, softened cream cheese, shredded Asiago cheese, sour cream, heavy cream (or milk), and chopped parsley. Make sure everything is blended well to create a smooth, creamy dip. If you have a food processor, it’s a great way to mix things up quickly and evenly.
- Spread Into a Dish: Take a 2-quart casserole dish and spread the mixture evenly with a rubber spatula.
- Add Mozzarella Cheese: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top of the mixture.
- Bake to Perfection: Place the dish on a baking sheet to catch any drips and bake for 15-20 minutes. Keep an eye on it toward the end to make sure the edges are bubbly and the top is beautifully golden brown.
- Serve and Enjoy: Let the dip cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
Dippers for Asiago Cheese Dip
Serve it with tortilla chips, pita chips, a rustic bread bowl, or fresh vegetables for dipping.
- Tortilla Chips: Crispy and salty, these are a great way to scoop up the creamy dip.
- Pita Chips: These sturdy dippers pair beautifully with the rich flavors of the dip.
- Fresh Vegetables: Looking for a lighter option? Serve this dip with raw veggies like carrot sticks, celery, bell pepper strips, or cucumber slices.
- Bread Bowl: Hollow out a round loaf of sourdough or your favorite crusty bread and serve the dip right inside. Tear up the insides for dipping. I know it’s a bit old-school and from the 90’s, but I still love it like this!
- Crusty Bread or Breadsticks: Chunks of crusty French bread or buttery breadsticks are a match made in heaven for this asiago cheese dip.
- Tortilla Wraps: Cut tortilla wraps into triangles and bake them on a baking sheet with a little extra virgin olive oil.
- Crackers: Any kind of cracker works well with this dip recipe.

- Sun-Dried Tomato and Basil Dip: Chop some sun-dried tomatoes and fresh basil, then fold them into the dip before baking.
- Buffalo Asiago Dip: Mix in a splash of buffalo sauce to turn this into a creamy, tangy buffalo chicken dip alternative—no chicken needed!
- Green Onion and Bacon Dip: Crisp up some bacon, crumble it, and mix it in with sliced green onions before baking.
- Mexican-Inspired Asiago Dip: Give your dip a south-of-the-border twist by adding diced jalapeños, a sprinkle of taco seasoning, or even a layer of black beans.
- Vegetarian Mediterranean Dip: Add roasted red peppers, kalamata olives, and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil on top after baking.
- Make It Breakfast-Friendly: Stir in some cooked, crumbled breakfast sausage or diced ham. Serve with buttermilk biscuits.
How to Roast Garlic
I’m a big fan of garlic! There’s something truly magical about roasted garlic—the way the cloves become buttery and creamy after roasting is just delightful.

That looks amazing! I’m pretty sure I could sit and eat the entire dish 🙂
what do you eat it with?…other than your fingers 🙂
We do tortilla chips & toasted baguettes Oh, and fingers… 😉
I’ve never used Asiago cheese. Actually, I probably can’t even find it around here (teeny tiny town). Can you compare it to another cheese for me? What would be a good substitute? Thanks!
You may be able to find it – I live out in the boonies and we have it at our small town grocery store. It’s usually with the deli cheeses. It’s an Italian cheese, so I would say if you switched it out with another cheese, I’d go with something like Romano or Mozzarella…maybe even an Italian blend.
Thanks!
