I’m about to share a secret weapon in my recipe arsenal – my Jalapeno Popper Dip. It’s a crowd-pleaser that never fails, and it tastes just like your favorite jalapeno poppers!
What’s even better is that it’s super easy to whip up with just five simple ingredients.
Jalapeno Popper Dip
I can not give enough praises to this Jalapeno Popper Dip. I make it all of the time, and it always gets devoured. It really tastes like jalapeño poppers!
It is such a simple thing to make & the ingredient list is really short. You only need 5 ingredients! Interested? Well, c’mon…. Let’s get started!
Why You’ll Love My Jalapeno Popper Dip
This dip is creamy, cheesy, and has just the right amount of heat from those spicy jalapenos. Plus, it’s so simple to make with minimal effort – perfect for game night or your next party!
Jalapeno Popper Dip Ingredients
You’ll need just five ingredients to make this easy jalapeno popper dip! You can get the exact measurements from the recipe card at the bottom of this post.
- softened cream cheese (full fat cream cheese works best)
- mayonnaise
- diced green chilies
- canned jalapeño peppers (I use the sliced ones in a jar & just chop them up.)
- parmesan cheese
Note: canned jalapeños work better than fresh jalapenos in this recipe.
Garnish the top of the dip with some green onion after baking.
How to Make Jalapeno Popper Dip Recipe
- First, combine cream cheese, mayo, green chiles, and jalapenos together in a large bowl.
- Next, spoon your cream cheese mixture into a 2-quart baking dish or a small stone casserole dish and sprinkle the top with shredded parmesan cheese.
- Then bake it uncovered at 400 degrees for around 25 minutes.
I find shredded gives a nicer crust than grated – but feel free to use whichever you prefer. It will still taste almost the same, but it won’t have the slight crunch on the top.
Tips & Variations
For an extra golden brown top on your dip, switch your oven to broil for the last couple of minutes. Just keep an eye on it to avoid burning! And if you want to add a little extra flavor, try mixing in some onion powder or garlic powder.
If you like a really cheesy dip, add in some sharp cheddar cheese (but I prefer it without).
Here are some more add-in options:
- crispy bacon
- diced tomatoes
- crushed red pepper flakes
Some have mentioned that they top their jalapeno popper dip with panko breadcrumbs, however I ‘ve never tried that. If you do, let me know how it turns out!
Ways to Serve Dip
Serve this delicious dip with tortilla chips (the scoop ones I use in the photos work great!), pita chips, corn chips (like Fritos), baguette slices, Ritz crackers, celery sticks, or even slices of French bread.
It’s the perfect appetizer for football games or any get-together!
After baking, you can carefully move it to a small crockpot to keep it warm for gatherings. Just try to keep the pretty crust on top.
How to Store Leftovers
If you have any leftover dip (which is unlikely), store it in an airtight container in the fridge. It’ll be just as tasty the next day – maybe even more so!
So there you have it, friends – my easy jalapeño popper dip recipe that’s sure to be a hit at your next gathering.

I’m going to try this recipe tonight. I was thinking maybe panko breadcrumbs on top would be good?? Have you tried that?
I have not tried that before. Let me know how it turns out!
I made this and posted it on my blog. 🙂
We love this!! Of course we have made it for Thanksgiving, Christmas and now the Super bowl; We have replaced the mayo with plain greek yogurt. and shredded cheese with peppers
Is there any way to pull this off in a Crock-Pot? I have a family get together right after church so I would need to make it before, this is my favorite!!
