Blueberries are very plentiful here right now. We have a non-spray farm not far from the house where we can pick a gallon’s worth of fresh blueberries for only $10. That’s a huge deal in my book!
With all these blueberries, I decided to whip up a batch of blueberry lemonade. Â It’s one of my very favorite beverages!
Blueberry Lemonade
Ingredients
- 1 pint of blueberries
- 1.5 - 2 cups of sugar depending on how sweet you like it
- 1 cup lemon juice
- 8 cups water
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the blueberries, sugar & 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil, and smush the blueberries with a large wooden spoon. Reduce to medium and cook for 10 minutes. Pour the mixture through a sieve to remove the blueberries from the mixture. Pour the blueberry sugar liquid into a pitcher. Stir in the lemon juice & then stir in 7 cups of cold water.
- Refrigerate until cold or serve over ice. Garnish with fresh blueberries & fresh lemon slices if desired.

This looks so refreshing!
