Blueberry Lemonade

Blueberries are very plentiful here right now. We have a non-spray farm not far from the house where we can pick a gallon’s worth of fresh blueberries for only $10. That’s a huge deal in my book!

With all these blueberries, I decided to whip up a batch of blueberry lemonade.  It’s one of my very favorite beverages!

Ingredients

  • 1 pint of blueberries
  • 1.5 - 2 cups of sugar depending on how sweet you like it
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 8 cups water

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the blueberries, sugar & 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil, and smush the blueberries with a large wooden spoon. Reduce to medium and cook for 10 minutes. • Refrigerate until cold or serve over ice. Garnish with fresh blueberries & fresh lemon slices if desired.
