Ingredients for Boneless Country Style Ribs

  • Boneless Country Style Pork Ribs: These are a thick, meaty cut of pork that come from the blade end of the pork loin.
  • Salt and Pepper: A little kosher salt and black pepper is all you need to start with.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar: The vinegar gives your ribs a bit of tang and helps tenderize them. It breaks down the connective tissue so the ribs turn out nice and tender.
  • BBQ Sauce: Use your favorite barbecue sauce for my easy crockpot recipe. Save some extra BBQ sauce to dip them in!

How To Make Boneless Country Style Ribs In the Crockpot

Cooking country-style ribs in the crockpot is so easy! Here’s how to do it:

  1. Add the Ribs: Lay your country style ribs in the bottom of your slow cooker in a single layer if you can, and season them well with salt and pepper.
  2. Add Vinegar: Pour the apple cider vinegar into the bottom of the crock pot.
  3. Set and Cook: Turn the crockpot on low and let the ribs cook 6-8 hours. The longer cooking time gives you fall-apart tender meat with no effort!
  4. Sauce it Up: Once the ribs are tender, pour on your favorite BBQ Sauce. Cook on low for an additional 30 minutes, or pop them under the broiler for a few minutes to give it a little char like traditional ribs.

How To Make BBQ Boneless Country Style Ribs In The Oven

You can make these boneless country-style pork ribs as oven-baked ribs! Here’s how:

  1. Preheat Your Oven: Set your oven temperature to 350°F while you prep your meat.
  2. Season the Ribs: Season both sides of the ribs with salt and pepper and arrange them in a baking dish or baking sheet in a single layer if you can.
  3. Add the Vinegar: Add the apple cider vinegar to the bottom of the dish, and cover tightly with foil. It will keep the ribs juicy while they bake.
  4. Cover and Bake: Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and place it in the oven. Bake for about 2 hours, or until your ribs are fork tender and ready for the sauce.
  5. Remove the Foil: Take off the foil and slather on your BBQ sauce—store-bought, homemade, sweet and spicy, whatever you like best. Return to the oven and bake uncovered for about 20 minutes.

  • Don’t be worried if there’s not a lot of liquid in the recipe. The ribs will cook down and create their own sauce. When you add the barbecue sauce, they’ll be saucy and perfect.
  • If you cook them in the oven, make sure the foil is on tightly or use a tightly fitting lid to keep the ribs from drying out.
  • Salt and pepper are important, so make sure you season the ribs well.
  • Add even more flavor by adding some sliced onion and a few smashed cloves of garlic to the ribs.
